Agriculture & Forestry Gubernatorial Candidate Forum

The forum is sponsored by Virginia Farm Bureau Federation, Virginia Agribusiness Council, Virginia Forestry Association and Virginia Forest Products Association and hosted by the Virginia Farm Bureau Young Farmers Committee in conjunction with their Summer Expo.  This will be our 5th Gubernatorial Candidate Forum as a united agriculture and forestry industry.  Under the umbrella of the four organizations, other commodity groups, corporations and agribusinesses will be invited to attend. 

When:          Friday, July 28th from 12:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where:         Whitman Theater in the Business Science Building of Virginia Western     Community College (3094 Colonial Avenue Roanoke VA 24015) 

Parking:       Please use Lot 1. 

From Colonial Ave., take Winding Way Rd.  Walk towards the Webber Building where you can access the bridge over Colonial Ave.  Take the elevator or stairs down 1 or 2 floors to Whitman Theater.  The event will take place in the Whitman Theater in the Business Science Building.  Click on the campus map (right side of the screen) for more information.

Format of Forum:           

Submit questions on cards, which will be categorized and sorted for the moderator. 


If you have registered on the VFBF Young Farmer's Summer Expo registration website, no further action is required.  If not, please email the Council at if you plan to attend. 

For security purposes, only members of each organization and invited guests are allowed to attend, provided they have registered on the Young Farmer website, with Jessica Walton in Virginia Farm Bureau Governmental Relations or with one of the other sponsoring organizations.

 The Meeting will take place from 1 pm - 4 pm, with a mid-    meeting break for refreshments & networking.
